This is important as interest rates tend to vary without notice and homeowners who wait too long before taking their decision might find the rate that they were originally quoted with no longer available to them.

When you select a lender the homeowner must also consider how responsive the lender will be to their questions. This is important as a lender who doesn’t pay attention to the homeowner or answer their inquiries in time can make the re-financing procedure a lot more stressful than it should be. Choosing a lender who will offer a slightly higher rate whilst being more responsive might also be necessary.

Considering the Re-Financing Costs

Re-financing can be quite expensive. There are certain costs which are linked to re-financing which are typically very similar to the closing costs associated with securing an original property mortgage. These costs might comprise application fees, loan origination fees, property taxes, appraisal fees as well as other miscellaneous items.
